Harold Brock-Retirement Luncheon On May 13, 2008 friends and family gathered at the beautiful Landmark Commons to celebrate Harold Brock, one of the initial founders of Junior Achievement in the Waterloo area, and his 34 years of dedicated service. Attendants enjoyed lunch and the sharing of memories by past and current board members of Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa, Inc. (formerly Junior Achievement of Black Hawk Land).

2008-2009
On Friday, October 3rd, students at West High School in Waterloo learned about the world of work from real people in the Cedar Valley Community. Over 40 local businesses donated their time to speak with the students about their industry and how they can prepare for their successful futures. Below are some students enjoying conversations with the people from The Courier, Principal Financial Group, and Community National Bank.



2007-2008
3rd grade students at Hansen Elementary in Cedar Falls, learn all about their "City" with JA Board Chair, Steve Burrell of RE/MAX Cedar Valley.

Joyce Barbatti, a new volunteer to Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa, Inc., assists her 3rd grade students in Mrs. Marshalls class at Hansen Elementary.

Tim Mack (First Security State Bank) teaches his Columbus High School Students about the expenses incurred in running an independent business during JAs Company Program Course. The students at Columbus were extremely successful this year, selling over $11,700 in jackets!
