Our 2011 Taste of Achievement specialty beer and wine tasting event was a huge success this year. Members of the community gathered to celebrate our partnership with local businesses and educators to celebrate the mission work of preparing young people for the 21st-century workplace. The revenue generated at this event funded Junior Achievement programs in the Johnson and Iowa county area schools.

Next year's event will be held in March 2012. The date and location will be determined at a later time.

This event is open to all supporters and is intended as a fun, energetic and interactive social event. Guests will lightly imbibe in a selection of premium, specialty beers expertly matched with hors d’oeuvres prepared by local Iowa City restaurants. For those that prefer grapes to barley, Taste of Achievement will have a well-rounded selection of white and red wines to please the most discriminating sipper. The evening will also include live music and a silent auction. 

Each guest will receive a complimentary sipper glass which will include a carefully selected cubic zirconium stone. ONE guest glass will contain a hidden treasure - a real one-carat, round cut diamond donated by m.c.ginsberg!
