Thank you for a hugely successful Walk the Plank Bowl-4-Education 2007 in the Cedar Rapids Area!
Thanks to your support, we raised nearly $87,000 to help fund Junior Achievements economic literacy programming to 28,562 students in Eastern Iowa - thats $5,000 over our goal! Well see you all next year for "Vegas Bowl-4-Education"!

Vegas Bowl-4-Education 2008: Now in its 18th year, the Junior Achievement Bowl-a-thon event has grown to be bigger than ever! The only themed bowl-a-thon in the area, the 2008 theme will be "Vegas Bowl-4-Education" So dust off your Elvis costumes because were headed to Vegas, baby!
SAVE THE DATES: *Friday, October 10, 9:00 p.m.-Midnight *Friday, October 17, 3:00-6:00 p.m. Happy Hour Bowl! *Friday, October 17, 9:00 p.m.-Midnight *Friday, October 24, 9:00 p.m.-Midnight *Sunday, October 26, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Non-smoking Family Bowl! *Friday, November 7, 9:00 p.m.-Midnight
The Kick-off event is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, August 14th, from 12-1pm. Event Overview: Think of Bowl-4-Education as a company party that doubles as a fundraiser for Junior Achievement! Volunteer to be part of a 5-6 person bowling team. Secure at least $60 per adult bowler ($40 for youth) and youre ready to bowl! Each bowler is entitled to three games of bowling, shoe rental, an event t-shirt, and great prizes!
Why Bowl for Junior Achievement? Junior Achievement prepares and inspires young people to succeed in a global economy. JA teaches kids how business works and prepares them to be Eastern Iowas future leaders! Through the help of hundreds of community volunteers, JA will reach 28,562 local K-12 students during the 2007-08 school year! The Bowl-4-Education event is a fun-filled way to help raise money to support Junior Achievements local economic literacy programs.
